SURJ is a national network of groups and individuals working to undermine white supremacy and to work toward racial justice. Through community organizing, mobilizing, and education, SURJ moves white people to act as part of a multi-racial majority for justice with passion and accountability. Black Student Union was established in 2003 as a way for students of color to find community, build coalition and allies, increase diversity, and strengthen intercultural development. We also provide a judgment free space where individuals are given an opportunity to express their views and ideas. We welcome all who are interested in exploring and educating themselves about black culture. We also aspire to reach out to not only the campus community but also to Burlington as a whole and advocate for the rights of Black people around the world.

The National SEED ProjectSM is a peer-led professional development programthat creates conversational communities to drive personal, organizational, and societal change toward greater equity and diversity. We do this by training individuals to facilitate ongoing seminars within their own institutions and communities. SEED leaders design their seminars to include personal reflection and testimony, listening to others' voices, and learning experientially and collectively. Through this methodology, SEED equips us to connect our lives to one another and to society at large by acknowledging systems of oppression, power, and privilege.  (taken from https://nationalseedproject.org/about-us/about-seed#what-seed-offers)
